Helen Pauline Joynt

DIXON – Helen Pauline Joynt, 87, of Dixon, died Saturday, Feb. 9, 2013, at KSB Hospital in Dixon.

Helen was born April 9, 1925, in Lee Center Township, the daughter of George W. and Mary Jane “Jinny” (Mattress) Freadhoff. She married Orville L. Joynt on June 30, 1954, in Morrison. He preceded her in death on Oct. 20, 1976. Helen was a member of the Rock River Grange.

Survivors include one son, Eugene A. (fiancée Diane O’Keefe) Joynt; one granddaughter, Jordan D. Joynt; one step-grandson, Randy Moore Jr., all of Yorkville; one sister, Eva Heinka of Naperville; one brother-in-law, Lester (Helen) Joynt of Dixon; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She also was preceded in death by four brothers, William, Norman, Ernest and Harold Freadhoff; three sisters, Ellen Woolsey, Vera Kelly, and Verna Wilson.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until noon Wednesday at Preston-Schilling Funeral Home in Dixon, followed by the funeral at noon with the Rev. Mike Jones, pastor of First United Methodist Church in Dixon, officiating. Burial will be at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens in Dixon.

Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association.
