Two Sterling Golden Warriors remained in the winner's bracket after the first two rounds of 2A Rochelle Sectional that took place on Friday. The other seven local grapplers will have to fight through wrestlebacks Saturday if they want to advance to next weekend's state tournament in Champaign. 

Sterling's Curtis Lilly was pushed in his quarterfinal bout, after receiving a bye in the first round. Lilly beat Rock Island's Mike Estergard 3-2 in the tiebreaker round. Next up for Lilly will be a matchup with Peoria Central's Robert Walker in the semifinal. 

Walker beat Glenbard South's Joe Alfonzo 5-0 in a quarterfinal bout.
