Freshman Isaiah Roby posted his second straight double-double, but his Dixon Dukes couldn’t pull the upset of LaSalle-Peru, falling 77-57 on Friday at Lancaster Gym.
Roby scored 13 points and grabbed 10 rebounds, and Cal Jarrett added 21 and seven, respectively, for the Dukes (3-20, 1-7 Northern Illinois Big 12 West).
Jens Soderholm scored 25 points for the Cavs (14-8, 8-0), but Dixon coach Jason Mead was pleased with his Dukes forcing a high degree of difficulty.
Dixon trailed just 56-45 entering the fourth period, and will get another shot at the Cavs on Feb. 25 in the Class 3A Rock Falls Regional.
