Lenten services planned for community

DIXON – Area churches will host community Lenten services from Feb. 17 to March 29.

The services will be at 6:30 p.m. Feb. 17 at First Baptist Church,111E. Second St.; Feb. 24 at Grace United Methodist Church, 921 E. Chamberlin; March 3 at Sauk Valley Community Church, 498 state Route 2, Dixon; and March 10 at The Worship Center, 403 N. Ottawa Ave.

At 5 p.m. March 17, the service will be at First United Methodist Church, 202 S. Peoria Ave.; and will include a St. Patrick's Day meal and traditional Seder meal. Tickets can be purchased from participating churches.
