MENDOTA – Kathleen H. Lauer, 82, of Mendota, died Tuesday, Feb. 5, 2013, at Heritage Health-Mendota. She was a homemaker.

She was born Feb. 20, 1930, in Peterstown, the daughter of Emma (Sondgeroth) and Henry Eiberger Jr. She married Elroy Lauer on Jan. 8, 1952, at Sts. Peter and Paul Church in Peterstown. She was a member of Holy Cross Church in Mendota.

Survivors include her husband of Mendota; five sons, Jerry (Dawn) Lauer, Thomas (Kim) Lauer, Martin (Cathy) Lauer, Robert Lauer, and Gary (Lori) Lauer; five daughters, Susan (Kevin) Shaw, Linda (Greg) Dimmig, Lisa (Gary) Setchell, Cathy (Bruce) Bankes, and Brenda (Dustan) Haynes; 18 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by one daughter, Jeanne; and two grandchildren.

There will be no visitation. The funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at Holy Cross Church in Mendota, with the Rev. Geoff Horton officiating. Private family burial will be at St. Mary Cemetery in Sublette. Merritt Funeral Home in Mendota is handling arrangements.

Memorials may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
