Hikers head off to explore canal

The Friends of the Hennepin Canal will have its monthly Hike the Hennepin Canal outing Feb.17.

This hike will be 4.6 miles long and is called the Bald Eagle. Hikers will meet at the Steel Dam in Milan by 1:30 p.m. and will be shuttled to the Mississippi River to begin the walk back. The dam is past the warehouses on 14th Street N.E.

The public is welcome; there is no charge.
