REDDING, Calif. – Pauline Marie Lendman passed away peacefully Friday, Feb. 1, 2013, at Marquis Care Shasta in Redding, Calif.

Pauline was born July 10, 1925, in Metropolis, to Lawrence and Grace Krebs.

Pauline married Fred Lendman on June 18, 1949, in Sterling. They shared 61 wonderful years together before his passing in February 2011.

She retired from employment with the state of California in 1981, and from Far Northern Regional Center in 1993 in Redding.

Pauline enjoyed new adventures, whether it was traveling to Washington D.C., fishing from a jetty in Florida, or line dancing with her friends locally. She always was ready to try something new. Her greatest joys were her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She will be lovingly remembered by all her family and friends, including her brothers and sisters-in-law in Illinois and their large extended families.

Pauline is survived by her children, Paul Lendman of Redding, Sally (Chuck) Farano of Corona, Calif., and Sue (Don) Langford of Yreka, Calif.; six grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.

She also was preceded in death by her parents, Lawrence and Grace Krebs; her sister, Dorothy Kounter; and her granddaughter, Kelli Farano.

The family wishes to express its sincere appreciation to her neighbors and caregivers who made her last years enjoyable, comfortable, and secure.

A memorial service will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church, 2600 Shasta View Drive, Redding, Calif.
