FULTON – Unity Christian School recently celebrated homecoming and spirit week.

Students dressed according to themes chosen by the student council, which included Occupation Day, School Spirit Day, Athletic Day, and Krazy Day.

The days featured a banana suit, colors of professional sports teams, Sam Lenz as mathlete, being professional mattress testers, a movie director, and the fashion police.

Dodgeball, a scavenger hunt, games, and a pep rally with a cheerleading squad performance were part of the week’s entertainment.

In basketball, the junior high girls defeated Galesburg Christian School 64-9; the high school girls lost to Morningstar Academy of Bettendorf, Iowa, 35-41; and the high school boys also beat Galesburg 72-36.

The high school basketball season ended with a conference tournament.

The boys finished third and the girls fourth. Collin Willoughby and Vanessa Frederick were named first team All-Conference; and Erin Wessels, Sean Hansen, Nolan Willoughby, and Colby Dykstra were named second team All-Conference.
