I would like to thank the administration and board members of Sterling Public Schools and Rock Falls High School for solving the issue of having graduation ceremonies at the same time on the same day.

I’m sure there are many families and friends who are very grateful for the solution to this problem. I am very thankful that I will be able to attend both of my grandchildren’s graduation ceremonies. Again, our thanks.

I also would like to congratulate the coaches and their assistants on the sophomore team, and Coach Bickett and his assistants for the fine games they played against Winnebago on Feb. 2. We might not have won, but our players were such good sports for a hard loss.
