DIXON – A free workshop for the Great Backyard Bird Count will be from 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday at the Lowell Park Nature Center, 2114 Lowell Park Road.
The program is for bird-watchers of all ages and experience. Participants can bring binoculars. Activities for children and adults will be available. Call 815-288-5209 for more information.
This year's Great Backyard Bird Count, a worldwide bird census, will be Feb. 15-18. Go to www.birdcount.org to learn more.
