Law enforcement offering scholarship

OREGON – Ogle County Sheriff Michael R. Harn will give a $500 scholarship to a full-time student. The money is through the Illinois Sheriff's Association.

Applicants must be Ogle County resisdents and permanent residents of the state, must attend an Illinois institute of higher education, and must be enrolled full time during the 2013-14 school year, excluding summer sessions.

The applications are available at www.ilsheriff.org or at the sheriff's office at 103 Jefferson St. They must be returned to the sheriff's office by March 15.

The money can be applied to tuition, books, and fees.
