Branson singer set to play Centennial

Fund being raised to help seniors attend

STERLING – Tickets are on sale now for Branson, Mo., singer Allen Edwards, who will perform at 2 p.m. April 7 at the Sterling High School Centennial Auditorium, 1608 Fourth Ave.

Allen’s smooth vocal style is reminiscent of Jim Reeves, Perry Como and Eddy Arnold, with the power and dynamics of Elvis, Engelbert and Neil Diamond. Go to www.allenedwardsthesinger.com to hear a sample.

The show is a fundraiser for the Whiteside County Senior Center.

Advance tickets are $17 for one, $30 for a pair, $12 for three to 15 and $10 for 16 or more, or $40 for a family superpass good for everyone in the household, and are available at 800-280-9757. All tickets will be $17 at the door.

In addition, monetary donations are being taken to pay for tickets for seniors who are disabled or nursing home residents.
