I took barley pop over to meet my neighbors, the Tax family, with funny names like No More, No New, Had Enough, Stop All, Maxed Out, Why More, and Liberal Socialist.

No More said Illinois was going to add 1 percent to the sales tax. Maxed Out said she saw in the paper that Dixon schools didn’t need the new sports complex after all.

Had Enough said why are they still pushing the county 1 percent sales tax? No New asked, “Why don’t the people running our schools live within their income like we have to?” Liberal Socialist remarked, “Duh, they’d rather raise income than look for ways to cut expenses.”
