Health and safety topic of March 12 workshop at SVCC

DIXON – An Occupational Safety and Health Administration Safety Day training conference will be from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. March 12 at Sauk Valley Community College, 173 state Route 2.

OSHA’s Aurora area office is co-sponsoring the program with SVCC.

More than 300 employees and managers are expected to attend. A range of statewide industries, including manufacturing, hospitals, construction, and grain will be represented.

Sessions will cover safety issues related to machine guarding, fall protection, electrical work, and grain bin entry.  

The cost is $30, and includes, handouts, a continental breakfast, and lunch. Advance registration is needed.
