STERLING – For the seventh year in a row, Wahl Clipper’s mobile barbershop traveled across the country looking for men to go mano y mano in a facial hair face-off.

This year Andrew Hammer of St. Louis, was named the 2012 Wahl Man of the Year for his flawlessly-groomed handlebar mustache.

The Wahl Face the Day Tour traveled the country with a team of Master Barbers giving men free trims and shaves.

The group looked for men who represented the best in facial hair. Fourteen style-defining delegates were chosen at each of the tour stops, and one was chosen from online entries.

Each finalist won $500 and a stainless steel trimmer. Hammer won an additional $1,000 grand prize.
