When we have a snowstorm, the snowplows and other snow removal equipment in the area are all in use at the same time. We can't wait for days, weeks or months for someone else to get done using them.
It is vital to get and keep roads open as soon as possible. What about heart attacks and childbirths? What about fires? What about school buses? What about people trying to get home from work?
Farm animals must be fed and watered. They are not always kept on the premises of the caretaker.
