POLO – Susan R. Hartman, 52, died Wednesday, Jan. 30, 2013, at Serenity Hospice & Home in Oregon.

Susan was born Sept. 7, 1960, in Rockford, the daughter of Robert “Bob” Thayne and Nina Jean (Burgard) Campbell I.

She graduated from Dixon High School with the class of 1979. Susan was in madrigals and the robe choir while she attended Dixon High School. She married Mike Hartman on Aug. 27, 1983, in Dixon. Susan was a domestic engineer. She belonged to Crossroads Church in Polo.

Susan is survived by her husband, Mike Hartman of Polo; children, William (Abby) Hartman of Colorado Springs, Colo., Maggie (David) Swaim of Winterset, Iowa, Naomi Hartman of Colorado Springs, Aaron (Emily) Hartman of Lanark; and Emily, Nathan, and Hannah Hartman, all of Polo; grandchildren, Aubrey Hartman of Colorado Springs and Joanna Swaim of Winterset; brother, Robert “Bob” (Vonda) Campbell of Freeport; and sister, Toni (Dan) Cunningham of Aurora.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Visitation will be from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m., followed by the memorial service at 1:30 p.m., today at Crossroads Church, 205 N. Jefferson Ave., Polo, with the Rev. Charles Babler and the Rev. Chad Keeteman, pastors, co-officiating.

Burial will be at West Branch Cemetery in Lincoln Township, Ogle County.

Memorials have been established to Serenity Hospice & Home, and Alfa-Omega Ministries, 620 Carraway Road, Graham, NC 27253.
