Dixon Police

Melissa M. Bennett, 29, of Dixon; 2:52 p.m. Thursday in the 300 block of North Brinton Avenue; driving with a suspended license, disobeying a stop sign; given notice to appear in court.

Sterling Police

Michael J. Temple, 19, of Fulton; 8:27 a.m. Thursday at West Third Street and Avenue F; speeding, operating an uninsured vehicle; posted driver’s license.

Ogle County Sheriff

Duane D. Leonard, 45, of Rockford; Thursday; two warrants for contempt of court and theft; taken to Ogle County Jail.

Michael Hensley, 23, of Forreston; Thursday; two warrants for petition to revoke and failure to appear; taken to Ogle County Jail.

State Police

Matthew I. Urch, 22, of Gurnee; 12:52 p.m. Sunday on Interstate 88, Whiteside County; driving too fast for conditions after losing control of vehicle, which left the roadway and landed in the north ditch. No injuries.

Michael T. Smith, 30, of Indianola, Iowa; 2:13 p.m. Sunday on Interstate 88, Whiteside County; driving too fast for conditions after losing control of his vehicle on the roadway and entering the ditch. No injuries.

Erin D. DeMarco, 22, of Libertyville; 3:40 p.m. Sunday on Interstate 88,Whiteside County; driving too fast for conditions, after hitting a patch of ice, losing control of her vehicle, and entering a ditch. No injuries.

Ryan D. Hicks, 25, of Rock Falls; 3:57 p.m. Sunday on Interstate 88, Whiteside County; driving with a revoked license, failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident, failure to report an accident to police authority, failure to given information on an accident, leaving the scene of a property damage accident, after veering from the roadway, entering the ditch, striking a light pole, sheering it from the base. Aid provided by the Illinois Tollway Authority, Rock Falls Police Department, and CGH Ambulance. No injuries.

Marshon Gibson, 34, of Chicago; 3:57 p.m. Wednesday on Interstate 88, Whiteside County; improper lane usage after losing control on ice, causing the semitrailer he was driving to jackknife before landing in the ditch. No injuries.
