Give taxpayers the facts on school spending

Published: Tuesday, Feb. 5, 2013 1:15 a.m. CDT

It’s dinner time for the taxpayers. We now have the two side dishes on our plate, that being a public plea to the taxpayer from both sides of this issue.

Now it’s time for some meat on our plate – say our teachers' and administrators' pay and benefits for the last 4 years in the paper for taxpayers to digest for ourselves how our money is being spent. We can then also see for ourselves whether there is any side dish of misinformation missing from the table.

You see, we all know “how” to think, and we do not need to be told “what” to think. Factually correct information gives the taxpayer the power to make informed decisions on our own.

Give us, the taxpayers, the ones who pay for all of this, the facts, and let us decide who, if anyone, gets dessert.
