Teams: No. 1 Oregon (21-6), No. 2 Byron (26-2), No. 3 North Boone (20-8), No. 4 Rockford Christian (15-12), No. 5 Pecatonica (13-13), No. 6 Winnebago (6-17)

Players to watch: Lizzy Leden, Winnebago sr. C; Megan Johnson, North Boone sr. G;  Sam Lambrigtsen, Oregon jr. G; Ellie Lehne, Byron so. F; Sarah Nyen, Pecatonica jr. C;  Emily Nylen, Rockford Christian sr. C

Outlook: Oregon and Byron have split two regular season meetings. The Tigers took the last meeting in Byron on Tuesday. Neither North Boone nor Rockford Christian – both Big Northern East teams – will be pushovers in the semifinals. At the end of the day though, it should come down to the Hawks and Tigers. 

Favorite: Byron

Winner to: Somonauk Sectional vs. Newman Regional winner, 8 p.m. Monday, Feb. 11

Where: Hall High School, Spring Valley

Teams: No. 1 St. Bede (15-6), No. 2 Ottawa Marquette (17-9), No. 3 Princeton (6-20), No. 4 Hall (8-18), No. 5 Bureau Valley (1-24)

Players to watch: Heaven Bennett, Bureau Valley so. C; Morgan Dean, St. Bede sr. F; Becca Herrmann, Hall jr. G; Allison Taylor, Marquette sr. G; Makenzy Wilson, Princeton sr. F

Outlook: There's little doubt this will be a two-team race between St. Bede and Marquette. The Bruins beat Marquette earlier in the season, but their is little gap between the two rivals. SVM team Bureau Valley will matchup with Hall in a play-in game. 

Favorite: St. Bede

Darkhorse: Marquette

Where: Newman High School

Teams: No. 1 Riverdale (21-2), No. 2 Newman (13-11), No. 3 Fulton (10-18), No. 4 West Carroll (3-17), No. 5 Morrison (5-20)

Players to watch: Lakin Goodman, Morrison so. G; Rachel Hageman, Newman sr. F; Ieshia Larson, West Carroll sr. F; Hannah Nimrick, Riverdale sr. F; Morgan Wierema, Fulton sr. F; 

Outlook: Riverdale, which is tied for 10th in the last AP rankings, is the heavy favorite in this regional that is filled with four Three Rivers teams and one NUIC West team. Newman, which lost 52-36 to the Rams on Tuesday, seems the most likely to challenge them for the title. 

Favorite: Riverdale

Darkhorse: Fulton
