Sex offender gets prison for new offenses

DIXON – A 19-year-old sex offender was sentenced Thursday to 3 years in prison for sexually abusing a 13-year-old girl.

Christopher S. Brown also was sentenced to 2 years, to be served consecutively, for violating his sex offender registry by failing to report a change of employment.

In September, the girl's parents called Amboy Police and said Brown engaged in many sexual acts with her between May 27 and July 15. During an interview with her, officers learned at least two of the acts happened in the presence of an 11-year-old girl.
