Gardening tips program offered
MALTA – The Gardeners Pathway symposium of workshops will be Feb. 23 at Kishwaukee College Conference Center, 21193 Malta Road. The series.presented by University of Illinois Extension DeKalb County Master Gardeners and Kishwaukee College, is for gardeners of all levels.
The day will start with a continental breakfast and exhibit hall at 7:30 a.m., followed by "Make Mine Green," by organic gardener Rich Tobiasz.
Participants will then select from 17 workshops ranging from floral arranging to a tour of the Kishwaukee College greenhouse. Other topics include tropical plants for Midwest gardens, new for 2013, the language of flowers, building a garden obelisk, preparing a healing garden, top 10 succulent projects, and identifying common lawn and garden weeds.
