Lovgren leads Amboy past Boilers
Behind five 3-pointers from Brooke Lovgren, the Amboy Clippers held serve at home Tuesday by beating the Kewanee Boilermakers 44-37.
Lovgren hit four 3s in the first quarter as the Clippers (13-12, 6-8 Three Rivers) took a 16-3 lead after one quarter, then held on despite being outscored 30-21 in the second half.
Lovgren finished with 18 points, and Autumn Smith and Kaitlyn Liebing chipped in eight points apiece for Amboy. Jennifer Ensley paced Kewanee (11-15, 5-7) with 13 points.
