Memory loss program open to the public

STERLING – The Alzheimer’s Association Rock River Area Office will present a program from 12:30 to 2:30 p.m. Friday at the Whiteside County Senior Center, 1207 W. Ninth St.

The Basics: Memory Loss, Dementia, and Alzheimer’s is for anyone who would like to know more about dementia and Alzheimer’s.

Participants will find out about symptoms, causes and risk factors for dementia, how Alzheimer’s affects the brain, the benefits of early detection, stages of the disease, treatment options, and ways the association can help.
