Lutheran Schools Week celebrated in Sterling
Sterling Police officer Pat Bartel and his K-9 partner, Marco, give a demonstration Tuesday at Christ Lutheran School in Sterling. Other community helpers, such as doctors, EMTs, the Red Cross and Whiteside County Health Department staff, came to the school to give presentations as part of CLS's celebration of Lutheran Schools Week. Other student activities will include donuts with moms and dads, restocking the CLS thrift store in Rock Falls, and listening to stories during Drop Everything and Read time. Go to www.christlutheranschool.com to learn more about the pre-K through junior high school at 2000 18th Ave.
