The nicest thing happened to me on Jan. 25. We had about one inch of fluffy snow overnight Thursday. I was outside in the morning with a broom, sweeping it off my driveway, when the Moring trash truck came through my alley. They got to the south end of the alley and backed up to the end of my driveway.

Two young men got out of the truck and said they were going to help me. I was very surprised and happy, too, that strangers would offer to help me. They had it finished in about 10 or 15 minutes.

I did not get their names, but it renews my belief that there are still some very polite young men in the world who are willing to lend a hand whenever possible.
