ROCK FALLS – Ado Nardini, 91, of Rock Falls, died Sunday, Jan. 27, 2013, at Transitions Nursing Home in Rock Falls.

He was born July 8, 1921, in Rock Falls, the son of Nicodemon and Annunzita (Nardi) Nardini. He married Attilia “Tillie” Caselli on Oct. 12, 1946, in Chicago. She died Feb. 25, 1995.

After moving back to Rock Falls, he co-owned Gig’s Pizza in Rock Falls with his late brother, Leo. Ado was a member of St. Andrew Catholic Church.

Surviving are two sisters, Cecilia Wilson of Rock Falls and Ada Gugliuzza of Rockford; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers: Edelio and Leo Nardini; one sister, Nevada Poci; and three infant daughters at birth.

Visitation will be from 10 to 10:45 a.m. Tuesday at St. Andrew Catholic Church in Rock Falls, with Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. Monsignor Thomas Dzielak is officiating. Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery in Sterling.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial will be established.
