DIXON – Zona E. Schuttler, 95, of Dixon, died Friday, Jan. 25, 2013, at Coventry Village in Sterling. She was loved and cherished by her family. 

Zona was born July 28, 1917, in Atkinson, the daughter of William B. and Sylvia McNeill. She married Walter Schuttler on July 28, 1939, in Davenport, Iowa. He preceded her in death on March 2, 1999. She had been a member of First Presbyterian Church in Dixon and the Sterling Moose Club.

She is survived by one son, William Schuttler of Sterling; one daughter, Jan Sproul of Rockford; two granddaughters, Kim Hammer and Kathy (Burton) Stoner; and four great-grandchildren, Sadie, Ily, Morgan, and Ethan.

She also was preceded in death by one daughter, Sharon “Sharry” Ringler; a granddaughter, Megan Sproul; and several sisters.

Cremation rites have been accorded. Burial of cremains will be at a later date at Oakwood Cemetery in Dixon. Jones Funeral Home in Dixon is handling arrangements.
