Student of the Month Keanu Interone

Keanu Interone is the Sterling December Student of the Month. He plans to attend the University of Utah in Salt Lake City where he will study computer science.

Senior Keanu Interone, 18, of Sterling, is one of Sterling High School’s December Students of the Month. He is the son of Shana and Carmelo Interone of Sterling. His brother is Arie Interone, an eighth-grader at Challand Middle School. The family also has two dogs, Spike and Callie.

Favorite class: AP calculus. I’m good at it.

Favorite teacher: Alexis Rivera, calculus. He kind of thinks similar to me.

Extracurriculars: Swimming and track.

After graduation: I’m going to the University of Utah in Salt Lake City. I’ll study computer science.

Best friend: Chandler Allen. He said I was his best friend when he was Student of the Month. I have to return the favor.

Favorite musical artist: Deadmau5.

Favorite actor: Keanu Reeves.

Favorite movie: “Pretty Sweet.”

Favorite TV show: “Family Guy.”

Hobbies: Skateboarding and playing guitar.

Favorite game or outdoor activity: Skateboarding.

Favorite food: My mom’s beans, Spam and rice.

Favorite place to shop: Kohl’s.

Favorite websites: YouTube and The Berrics.

Biggest fear: Drowning.

Pet peeve: People who have OCD.

Haunts: Dog House and the bird store.

I’m in the dictionary next to: Hipster. People tell me that all the time.

Personal trivia: I get all my style from my little brother.

Dream job: Skatepark builder.

Trading places: I would trade places with Hannah Jakobs. I’ve always wondered what it’s like to be Jewish.

Trading spaces: Cannon Beach, Ore. It’s beautiful, absolutely stunning.

Read this: “Death of a Salesman,” by Arthur Miller. It’s a very true story. The characters are very real.

What would you do if you had $100,000? I would buy a stand-up Jet Ski, and I would donate the rest to the park district to build a 50-meter pool.

What do you wish your high school offered? A water polo team.

What’s a tip you would give freshmen for making high school life easier? Go out for swim.
