Sterling Police

Jesus J. Garcia, 60, of Sterling; 10:40 a.m. Thursday at East Seventh Street and Third Avenue; driving with a revoked license; given notice to appear in court.

Larry L. Meyer, 44, of Rock Falls; 2:24 p.m. Thursday at Avenue B and West Third Street; speeding; given notice to appear in court.

Zachary R. Zigler, 23, of Sterling; 2:46 p.m. Thursday at East Third Street and Fifth Avenue; no seat belt; given notice to appear in court.

Megan S. Kone, 22, of Sterling; 4:23 p.m. Thursday at East Fourth Street and 12th Avenue; no insurance; posted driver's license.

Whiteside County Sheriff

Christopher Davis, 20, of Clinton, Iowa; 11:49 a.m. Thursday at U.S. Route 30 and Chase Road, Fulton; failure to yield the right of way after striking a vehicle driven by Larry Tichler, 61, of Morrison; Tichler and two passengers in the Davis vehicle, Dustin Hansen, 25, and Kyle Puckett, 22, both Clinton, were taken to Mercy North Medical Center in Clinton. Davis and a third passenger, Kyle Puckett, 22, of Camanche, Iowa, refused treatment. Davis was given notice to appear in court. Aid provided by Fulton Police, Fire and EMT departments, Medic, and Albany EMS.

State Police

Tanea A. Betts, 33, of Roselle; 5;28 p.m. Monday on Interstate 39, Lee County; driving with a suspended license, possession of drug paraphernalia, warrant, illegal transportation of alcohol; taken to Lee County Jail.

Clifford A. Kammin, 21, of Byron; 8:42 a.m. Wednesday on state Route 2, north of River Road, Ogle County; no valid driver's license, no insurance, failure to reduce speed to avoid a crash, after striking a vehicle driven by Stacey L. Fiala, 46, of Dixon.; posted I-bond. No injuries reported.

Mary B. Ristau, 27, of Rock Falls; 1:22 p.m. Wednesday on U.S Route 30 and Prophet Road, Rock Falls; no insurance, no seat belt, driving with a suspended license; posted I-bond.

Maria D. Vargas, 39, of Sterling; 3:55 p.m. Thursday at West Fourth Street and Maple Lane, Sterling; driving with a suspended license, no insurance, speeding; posted I-bond.
