Board holding public meeting
Sports complex, finances, staffing needs among Saturday’s topics
DIXON – A school district public planning meeting Saturday will set the stage for where the district is financially, and where it wants to go – including any plans for the potential 1-percent sales tax revenue.
The district expects about $400,000 less in state aid, less tax income because of lower property values, and growing expenses next year, so the board must prepare for the future, Superintendent Michael Juenger said.
No action will be taken at the 4-hour meeting, which begins at 9 a.m. at Reagan Middle School, but public comments and questions are welcome.
