Eagle released after month at Quincy rehab center
QUINCY (AP) — An adult male eagle is free again after spending a month at the Raptor Rehabilitation Center in Quincy.
The Quincy Herald-Whig (http://bit.ly/XChPks ) reports that the eagle was found dazed Dec. 21 along a road in Schuyler County, Mo.
Authorities at the raptor center say the bird was suffering from a possible head injury and wounds to both shoulders. Staff members aren't sure if he hit a power line, flew into a vehicle or was injured some other way.
