William W. ‘Bill’ Van Buren Jr.

MORRISON – William W. “Bill” Van Buren Jr., 78, of Morrison, died Tuesday, Jan. 22, 2013, at CGH Medical Center in Sterling. He worked for 30 years at Department 29, at International Harvester in East Moline, retiring in 1992.

Bill was born Jan. 1, 1935, in Moline, the son of William W. and Lydia M. (McLaughlin) Van Buren. He served in the Marine Corps during the Korean War. He married Ann Porter on June 1, 1958, in Muscatine, Iowa.

Survivors include his wife; one daughter, Christina “Tina” Schrader of Dixon; one son, William W. “Bill” (Michele) Van Buren III of Morrison; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
