LINCOLN, Neb. – Larry Laverne Fell, 61, of Lincoln, Neb., went to be with our Lord on Tuesday, Jan. 22, 2013.

Larry was born May 7, 1951, in Dixon. He loved sports, and played basketball during college in Illinois, where he met his wife. Having his grandchildren and family around was at the center of his life. He loved his home in the country, where he made accommodations for the grandkids to play and have fun. Larry was a devout Christian and an elder of Faith Bible Church in Lincoln.

He had a passion for learning and reading about history and the Bible, and would take anyone up for coffee and a conversation about Scripture. He had an entrepreneurial spirit that drove his success in business. His most recent endeavor was in a Lincoln-based company, Jencyn Medical, which he founded and owned. Outside of his professional life, Larry enjoyed many hobbies including fishing, gardening and exercising at the YMCA.

He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Mary; mother, Berneice McFalls of Sterling; daughter and son-in-law, Jenni and Brian Workman of Lincoln; son, Jeff, and his fiancé Mindy, of Westminster, Colo.; sister, Gail Jeanblanc of Sterling; sister and brother-in-law, Linda and Dave Temple of Morrison; brother and sister-in-law, Ron and Barbara Fell of Fairfield; sister and brother-in-law, Jan and Frank Spielman of Sterling; half sister, Stacey Fell of Illinois; grandchildren, Taylor, Tyler, Teyton, and Tysen Workman, all of Lincoln, and Tori, Grace and Saige Fell, all of Westminster; and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father, Lyle Fell.

The committal service will be at 9:30 a.m. Friday at Cheney Cemetery in Lincoln, followed by the funeral at 11 a.m. at Faith Bible Church, 6201 S. 84th St., Lincoln, with the Rev. Tom Rempel, pastor, officiating. Roper & Sons in Lincoln handled arrangements.

Memorials may be made to Faith Bible Church.
