ROCK FALLS – Gerald A. Latimer, 75, of Rock Falls, died Monday, Jan. 21, 2013, at his home, after an extended illness. He retired from Rochelle Foods after 20 years.

He was born Jan. 25, 1937, in Sterling, the son of Leo and Vera (LaFavre) Latimer. He served in the Army.

Surviving are three daughters, Kathy (Bill) Hilbert of Florida, Sue (Vern) Wedekind of Sterling, and Margaret (Randy) Johnson of Indiana; one sister, Marguerite Johnson of Rock Falls; and grandchildren, Jennifer Knapp, Jeff Johnson, Joey Brown, Carey Kobbeman, Billy Hilbert and Cassie Hilbert.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and two brothers, Leo Latimer and Raymond “Bud” Latimer.

A gathering will be from 9 to 9:45 a.m., followed by the memorial service at 10 a.m., Saturday at McDonald Funeral Home & Crematory in Rock Falls, with Deacon John Kellen officiating. Burial will be at Sacred Heart Cemetery in Sterling.
