Thomas J. ‘Tom’ Wiggins

POLO – Thomas J. “Tom” Wiggins, 84, of Polo, passed away Sunday, Jan. 20, 2013, at KSB Hospital in Dixon. He was a senior exhibit coordinator for Sundstrand in Rockford before retiring.

He was born Aug. 4, 1928, in Peoria, the son of Thomas A. and Josephine M. (McKee) Wiggins. He was united in marriage to Wanda Sheely on April 15, 1950, in Polo. Tom was a member of Pine Creek Christian Church in Polo for many years.

Survivors include his wife; sons, Thomas (Susan) Wiggins of Vallejo, Calif., and Tim (Brenda) Wiggins and Todd (Marta) Wiggins, both of Polo; sisters, Barbra (Walter) Smith of Newport Beach, Calif., and Sarah (Leon) Putnam of Peoria; 17 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.
