Vera M. Wolfe

ROCK FALLS – Vera M. Wolfe, 87, of Rock Falls, died Thursday, Jan. 17, 2013, at Rock Falls Rehabilitation and Health Care Center Nursing Home.

Vera was born Dec. 15, 1925, in Dix, the daughter of Sherman E. and Marie (Thomas) Boles. She worked as an assembler at GE in Morrison for 111/2 years, retiring in 1973. Vera also worked at Green River Ordinance Plant in Amboy during World War II, and Jul’s Farm for 9 years. Vera married Clarence “Nate” Wolfe on March 8, 1947, in Rock Falls. Her beloved husband died Aug. 9, 2009. She was an avid fisherman, was in crafts for many years, and loved reading.

Survivors include her four daughters, Cheryl (Sparky) Forster, Cindy (Larry) Jones, and Donna Kuehl, all of Morrison, and Roxann (Jerry) Elder of Rock Falls; two brothers, Bill (Martha) Boles of Dixon and David (Celia) Boles of Percy; six grandchildren, Kimberly Tarbill and Nathan (Billie Jo) Elder, both of Sterling, Keith Jones, John (Nicole) Kuehl, and Jason Forster, all of Morrison, and Joe Elder of Kewanee; and 12 great-grandchildren.
