POLO – June A. Mellen, 87, of Polo, passed away Tuesday, Jan. 15, 2013, at KSB Hospital in Dixon.
She was born June 26, 1925, in Lena, to Harry and Ethel (Jacobs) Reeder. June married Roy Paul Mellen on May 25, 1946, in Lena. She was a former member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Lena.
Survivors include her daughter, Susan (James) Westervelt of Polo; her granddaughter; her great-grandchild; her sister, Phyllis (Donald) Schwartz of Stockton; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband in 1996; and a brother, Gerald Reeder.
Private services will be at a later date. Leamon Funeral Home in Lena is handling arrangements.
