How dare [Sauk Valley Media] suggest that Sam Munz was in any way at fault for what happened to him [“No charges in fatal motorcycle accident,” Jan. 16]. Ms. Ruf ran him down from behind while he was waiting to turn into his own driveway.

It is appalling to me that you would try to blame him. If a state police officer actually saw someone fitting Munz’s description fail to use hand or arm signals, why didn’t he issue a citation? There’s no mention of any breathalyzer or blood tests taken of Ms. Ruf. Was there even any tests done on her at all?

I’m sick and tired of people blaming the motorcyclist when they are really innocent victims in most cases. That’s like blaming the rape victim for being raped because of the type of clothes she was wearing. It’s disgusting.
