Ashton burglar gets probation, treatment program mandate
Co-defendant still facing charges in several area break-ins
DIXON – One of two Ogle County men charged in connection with a break-in at an Ashton bar in November pleaded guilty Thursday to burglary.
Landon S. Kempson, 20, of Kings, was sentenced in Lee County Court to 2 years of probation and ordered to take part in the Treatment Alternative for Safe Communities program, which helps substance abusers and those with mental health disorders.
If he successfully completes treatment and the terms of his probation, the case will be dismissed.
