ROCK FALLS – Della G. Lamoreux, 98, of Milledgeville, died Monday, Jan. 14, 2013, at Rock Falls Rehabilitation and Health Care Center. She was employed by BorgWarner in Dixon, retiring in 1979.

Della was born June 14, 1914, in Coleta, the daughter of James and Pearl (Vinson) Crawford. She married Cecil Lamoreux on Oct. 22, 1931, in Morrison. He preceded her in death on Dec. 31, 2000. She was a member of United Methodist Church in Milledgeville, and was a Legion Auxiliary member in Milledgeville for more than 50 years. Della enjoyed playing bingo and cards, doing crafts, and bowling.

Survivors include two daughters, Carol (Claud) Ensinger of Dixon and Beverly (Edward) Ritzer of Las Vegas; one son, Clyde (Shirley) Lamoreux of Concord, N.C.; one sister, Shirley Turner of Polo; nine grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and 12 great-great-grandchildren.

She also was preceded in death by her parents, two daughters, one grandson, three sisters, and three brothers.

Visitation will be from 9 to 11 a.m., followed by the funeral at 11 a.m., Friday at McDonald Funeral Home, 520 Holcomb Ave., Milledgeville, with the Rev. Daniel Sturtevant of United Methodist Church in Milledgeville officiating. Burial will be at Bethel Cemetery in Milledgeville.

Memorials have been established to the Milledgeville Fire Department and the Milledgeville Bank.
