MANLIUS – Virginia E. Schisler, 82, of Princeton, formerly of Manlius, died at 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 12, 2013, at Coventry Living Center in Sterling. She was a farmer’s wife.

Virginia was born April 1, 1930, in Summum, the daughter of Earnest and Francis (Scrogum) Easley. She graduated in 1948 from Astoria High School. She married William E. Schisler on Aug. 21, 1949, in Springfield.

Survivors include her husband of Princeton; two sons, Craig Schisler of Polo and Kevin Schisler of Morrison; and two grandchildren, Jason Schisler of Madison, Wis., and Ryan Schisler of Cedar Rapids, Iowa.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Visitation was Monday at Grant-Johnson Funeral Home in Princeton. The funeral will be at 2 p.m. today at the funeral home, with the Rev. Jeff McIlrath officiating. Burial will be at Manlius Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Richard Woodley, Jason Schisler, Ryan Schisler, Fred Lebahn, Eddy Notschaele, and Craig Miller.

Memorials may be made to the Manlius Cemetery Association or a charity of the donor’s choice.
