Town hall program planned
ROCHELLE – A town hall program on the state's fiscal condition will be at 7 p.m. Thursday at the Rock Falls Township High School auditorium, 1401 Flagg Road.
The doors open at 6:30 p.m. Parking is in the rear of the high school; enter at the northside door.
Ralph Martire, executive director of the Center for Tax and Budget Accountability, will be the speaker. His program will deal with the structural issues that have contributed to the state's fiscal problems, and the potential consequences these factors may have on the servicess and programs the state provides. He was appointed to serve on the U.S. Department of Education Equity and Exellence Commission.
