Autopsy Tuesday in Dixon homicide case

DIXON – An autopsy is scheduled for Tuesday for a 34-year-old Dixon woman who, police say, was killed Sunday by her husband in their home.
Police said in a news release this morning that no details on the cause of death for Yolanda M. Sigler would be released until after the autopsy is conducted.
Her husband, Brian C. Sigler, also 34, is in the intensive care unit at KSB Hospital in Dixon this morning after undergoing surgery for what appear to be self-inflicted stab wounds to the neck and abdomen, according to police.
Dixon Police Chief Danny Langloss and Lee County State's Attorney Anna Sacco-Miller said Brian Sigler would not be charged with his wife's death until he is discharged from the hospital.
Brian Sigler will remain under police watch until his release, Langloss and Sacco-Miller said. His condition was unknown this morning.
Police and fire departments were called to the couple's home at 230 Lincolnway at 2:26 p.m. Sunday.
Police say they found Brian Sigler in a second-floor bathtub with a knife. Yolanda Sigler was found in the living room.
Police believe the homicide was related to domestic violence.
The couple's 10-year-old son, who called 911, is with relatives, according to police.
