PADS folks appreciate holiday gifts

In December, on behalf of the children and adults at the PADS shelter in Dixon, we sought donations to assist those families who struggle with homelessness. At the present time (and during the holidays), seven children and 21 adults live at the shelter.

Because of the overwhelming kindness and generosity of so many in our community, all those at PADS enjoyed and benefited from many needed donated items, such as extra meals and food, clothes, sheets, blankets, medicine, personal care products, and holiday gifts.

There were so many people who came forward with monetary donations and in-kind gifts for those at the shelter, that it is hard to name everyone here.

The other day, we ran a story about the Dixon Tourism Board's website, which is hard to navigate and missing key information, particularly about the Petunia Festival. Are we wasting our time examining local tourism websites?
