Helen M. Ehlers
DIXON – Helen Mae Ehlers, 86, of Dixon, died Wednesday, Jan. 9, 2013, at Oregon Healthcare Center. She worked on the family farm.
Helen was born June 2, 1926, in Polo, the daughter of Leo W. and Velma (Schoen) Irving. She married Christian “Chris” Ehlers on Sept. 14, 1946, in DeKalb. He preceded her in death. Helen loved and cared for many children as a babysitter. She also loved animals and fine jewelry.
She also was preceded in death by one brother, Robert Irving.
