Charles S. Ferguson

AMBOY – Charles S. Ferguson, 71, of Amboy, formerly of Seattle, died Wednesday, Jan. 9, 2013, at OSF St. Anthony Hospital in Rockford.

Charles was born Sept. 22, 1941, in Chicago, the son of John and Marjorie (Gallagher) Ferguson. He was raised in Wheaton, and while residing there, worked in Chicago as a stockbroker and commodities trader. After relocating to Seattle, he worked in the banking industry and as a private practice lawyer for 25 years before retiring. He was a member of Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church in Seattle. Charles was an avid reader, and enjoyed classical music and sports, especially baseball. He served as a first lieutenant in the Army, and was stationed in Korea in 1967.

He is survived by his sisters, Judy (Dennis) Marsili of Amboy, and Susan (Gerard) Gomes of West Boylston, Mass.; three nephews; and two nieces.
