DIXON – Brandy Kay Pegues, 31, of Dixon, died Friday, Jan. 11, 2013, at her home. She was an administrator for Camp Reynoldswood in Dixon for 6 years; bartender at First Street Pub in Dixon; and tended bar and cooked at the Shamrock Pub in Dixon.

Brandy was born May 3, 1981, in Dixon, the daughter of Susan Mabrey. The most important thing in life to Brandy was her daughter, Ariana.

Survivors include her daughter, Ariana Pegues; her mother and stepfather, Sue and Jeff Meusel; her father and stepmother, Randy and Carolyn Pursell; one brother, Jason (Carrie) Gibbons; half-sister, Amanda Pursell; maternal grandmother, Lois Mabrey; stepgrandparents, Nancy and Richard Fotzler; cousins, Melissa (Jason Carroll) Meusel, Jessica Love, and Jessica’s daughter, Ashyia; and special friends, Pat and Bob Lee, Danielle O’Neal, and Sandy Deter.

She was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather, Donald Mabrey.

Visitation will be from 2 to 8 p.m., with family present from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m., Monday at Preston-Schilling Funeral Home in Dixon. The funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Dixon, with the Rev. Frank Langholf, pastor, officiating. Burial will be at Oakwood Cemetery in Dixon.

A memorial has been established.
