STERLING – A community celebration in honor of Martin Luther King Jr. will be at 5 p.m. Sunday at First Presbyterian Church of Sterling, 410 Second Ave.

A peace art show and volunteer fair will be from 5 to 6 p.m., with an inspirational program at 6. Singers will perform, and readings will be part of the program. A community member also will be recognized who exemplifies King's dream.

Winners of the Peace Art Contest, which was open to students and adults, will be announced. All entries are based on King, peace, or nonviolence.

Refreshments will be served after the program. There is no charge to attend.
