STERLING – Betty J. Zigler, 87, of Sterling, died Wednesday, Jan. 9, 2013, at home.
Betty was born March 9, 1925, in Dixon, to William and Elizabeth (Royer) Aument in Dixon. She married Philip M. Zigler on Dec. 5, 1941, in Rock Falls. He preceded her in death.
Survivors include four sons, Gary (Joann) Zigler of Florida, Rick (Marge) Zigler of Tampico, David Zigler of Mount Morris, and Dale Zigler of Morrison; two daughters, Sandy Thrower and Judy (Rick) Hurless, both of Sterling; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She also was preceded in death by one son, Philip M. Zigler Jr.; her parents; three brothers; and two sisters.
Cremation rites have been accorded. McDonald Funeral Home & Crematory in Rock Falls is handling arrangements.
